Almost at the Dawn

Heavy feet upon the dusty road Carrying a weight you never chose Every breath feels like a quiet plea Searching for the strength to just believe But there is a light behind the heavy gray Wiping all the bitter tears away Keep on holding to the promise made Through the midnight, do not be afraid It’s almost over, yes, the sun will rise Lift your hands up to the open skies Give Him glory through the longest night Walk by faith and not by what’s in sight Glory be to God, oh, let it ring Just believe and let your spirit sing Every step you took was not in vain He was standing with you in the rain When the doubts were whispering defeat Grace was there to make your journey sweet So practice faith until it feels like home You were never meant to walk alone Keep on holding to the promise made Through the midnight, do not be afraid It’s almost over, yes, the sun will rise Lift your hands up to the open skies Give Him glory through the longest night Walk by faith and not by what’s in sight Glory be to God, oh, let it ring Just believe and let your spirit sing (Airy harmonies) It’s almost over now The breakthrough is breaking through He is turning every shadow into gold A beautiful story to be told So give Him praise, give Him the praise Glory, glory, glory Just keep going It’s almost over Glory be to God Just believe
